America’s elderly are one of the fastest-growing segments of the population. Every year, the numbers rise further. From the U.S. Census Bureau, December 2014, “by 2060, 24 percent of the population will be 65 or older, compared to just 15 percent of the population in 2015″.
Such a vast increase of Americans entering retirement then creates a greater demand for Senior Retirement Facilities — that there need to be a “173 percent growth in senior housing units per year from 2020-2030 to address projected demand”, as per American Seniors Housing Association.
A wise place to put capital is in an asset that is indispensable to a large number of people.
With this being said, would Senior Housing then be a smart play for investors looking for hard assets with attractive returns?
